NEFT, RTGS & UPI

Introduction

Electronic payment systems form the backbone of modern banking in India. NEFT (National Electronic Funds Transfer), RTGS (Real Time Gross Settlement), and UPI (Unified Payments Interface) are the three most important payment channels that every banking professional must understand. This topic is heavily tested in the JAIIB exam covering operational features, settlement mechanisms, timings, limits, and regulatory aspects.
